engagement session

Engaged: Jessica + Chuck

Jessica and her mountain man -- Chuck.

I love that she nick named him that because it's so fitting to his relaxed, and very masculine character. Jessica would cuddle up next to Chuck and you would know, just by the look on her face how protected she felt. In these moments when I meet new couples, you begin to learn the different ways that people love. Some embrace tightly, some laugh tearfully, and some just need the other's presence.

Jessica, the girl with the throw-your-head-back laughter who jumps into her mountain man's arms ... Chuck.

This is their story.

Milly came along for our photo date too.. you know, to give us some pointers on modeling ;)

...how sweet it is to be loved by you

I agree, they belong in a catalog!

Thank you Jessica and Chuck, for letting me tell your story. Can't wait for the big day in May :)

More photos will be added to Imaginale Design on Facebook so if you haven't *liked* it yet and want more, make sure to do so! Hope to see you there!

Jenilee + Matt -- Engagement

--- How weird is it that I'm not actually here? I'm at camp with no internet or phone access for a week! I've written this in the past (which is present for me right now) but I'm scheduling it to be posted in the future. When I'm gone. At camp. Blast from the past, I say. But let's get back to your program... ---

Do you remember Jackie O Jenilee and Matt? I gave you a little teaser a few months ago and that should not have satisfied you. No, no, no. Not when you have such a stylish couple like these two:

Work it out Matt ;) Vintage extraordinaire by day, and vinyl record lover by night.

What better setting for Jenilee and Matt than the historic soda shop of Mac Alpine's?

They also have 2 little vintage stops attached. Love-ly.

Jenilee just knew the way to my heart. Her styling, her magazine collection, and her complete trust in my vision.

After a wardrobe change, we headed to the downtown Library. What had started as a chilly and rainy morning (a very strange moment that rarely happens in Phoenix), turned into a sunny afternoon. God bless the desert and the clouds.

Thank you both again, and again, and again. For exploring with me, for pouring so much detail and preparation into our session, and for choosing me. I truly am lucky to have clients like you two!

-- Hope you guys enjoyed this one! At this point in camp I'm imagining that I'm not yet used to the sleeping schedule, I'm nervous, I'm getting to know people, and I'm praying. A lot. And then I remember my girls are probably a lot more nervous and I need to make the most of this week.
Leave me your thoughts and I can't wait to catch up with y'all next week!
Sincerely, past Ale --

Phoenix Engagement Preview: Jenilee and Matt

As I write this I am in VEGAS using our hotel’s internet. Dedication my friends… dedication.

No, actually, I just couldn’t wait to give you a sneak peek of my first engagement session in Phoenix!

Um, hello… Jackie Kennedy anyone? We haven’t even gotten to Audrey Hepburn yet. YES! You don’t even know. Jenilee & Matt are on the top of their vintage styling game -- refined and elegant. I absolutely loved (loved!) the thought and detail they put into their outfits. Seriously, I am so lucky to have clients that care about details as much as I do. I know you can’t wait to see more! ;)

On a side note. Cirque du Soleil left my head and heart swollen. I would say it left me speechless, but …ahem…. that’s a hard one to come by :) You guys, the show was INCREDIBLE! Ridiculous, exhilarating, and beyond impressive. I’m blown away by the skill and muscle isolation these people have. It makes me want to climb a tree… backwards. And then swan dive off of it. Yeah, picture that.

Now I’m off to watch Jasmine gamble her $5. High rollers baby. We might win ourselves another round of fruity pebble milkshakes. While simultaneously avoiding the half-dressed women on the billboards e-v-e-r-y-w-h-e-r-e. Awkward.

Happy Monday!
